Justify Inferences

My Reflection:

Today I found out how easy it was to find clues in paragraphs, sentences and

looking for the figurative language mostly, because it gives you a big clue about the story or

article. I can now read between the lines and find clues successfully.

My next step is to find better clues by asking people for help.

Place Value Partitioning

My reflection :

I am learning to use place value partitioning to solve

problems. Today I found out that there are two ways too

solve problems using place value partitioning.

One way is not breaking the first number up

just like the one I used. The second way is

breaking both up and minus the hundreds

with hundreds, tens with tens, and ones with

ones. I got a lot better at getting faster at

place value partitioning. I still wonder if

there is a third way of solving the problem

with place value partitioning.

Nonsense Poem

Breaking news!
Here is the news.

A pen,a pen,a pen.
An old and mundane pen.

When it rains,
it gets pains.
When it’s hot,
it dries a lot.

When it’s sunny,
it gets a bit funny.

When it snows,
it gets buried very slow.

When you’re writing,
it gets a bit inviting.

When it gets older,
it doesn’t get put in a folder.

When you’re drawing,
you feel sorry for calling it boring.

That was the news!

A pen, a pen, a pen.
An old and mundane pen.

My nonsense poem reflection:

Today I explored how we can change a boring object

into an interesting and unique object by putting it in a poem.

I am the most proud of my rhymes because it actually

kind of makes sense if you read it carefully.

My next step is to add some more figurative language

like adjectives, metaphors, and similes.
